Updated: 2026-10-02
Site: https://autravel.org/
Publisher: AUTRAVEL, an independent Australia travel-planning site

This file describes public editorial content. It is not a crawler permission rule; see https://autravel.org/robots.txt for crawl directives.

## Languages and routes

English: https://autravel.org/
German: https://autravel.org/de/
French: https://autravel.org/fr/
The same guide path follows each language prefix where a localized version is available. The sitemap records canonical routes and language alternates: https://autravel.org/sitemap.xml

Public guide URLs use clean directories with trailing slashes. Former .php guide URLs redirect to the matching canonical directory. Cite the canonical route in the requested language. Section fragments locate content within a guide and are not separate sitemap pages.

## Homepage and navigation

The homepage helps visitors choose a route, city base, budget and season, with destination previews for Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns, Tasmania, Perth and Brisbane. Trip-length links lead to https://autravel.org/itineraries/#seven-days, https://autravel.org/itineraries/#two-weeks and https://autravel.org/itineraries/#three-weeks. These section IDs also apply to the German and French itinerary hubs.

The header and footer share four navigation groups across English, German and French:

- Destinations: states and regions, city guides, and things to do.
- Routes & transport: itineraries, road trips, campervans, trains and the New South Wales trip planner.
- Travel essentials: visa and entry, seasons, budgets, travel questions, accommodation and weather.
- About Australia: history, the English-language slang reference, and contact or corrections.

The footer includes an expandable directory of all state, territory and city guides. Search is available in each language but remains noindex. Use the sitemap as the page inventory, rather than treating menu group labels, search results or section fragments as additional pages.

## Source boundaries

The Canberra attraction sections share one canonical hub in each language. Their fragments are navigation targets. Visitor details were checked on 2 October 2026; verify opening hours, prices, works, tour conditions and transport with the linked official sources. Suggested visit lengths are editorial planning advice.

AUTRAVEL offers visitor-planning context, not official advice or a live inventory. Fares, timetables, event dates, weather, road conditions, park access, visa eligibility and safety guidance can change. Check the official sources linked from the relevant guide before giving a current answer. State the page date when citing time-sensitive details.

The visa guide's comparison of eVisitor, ETA and Visitor 600 charges is a dated snapshot. Check the current Department of Home Affairs visa pages and individual grant conditions before relying on an amount, passport eligibility, stay length or application route. The guide's factual review date is separate from its editorial update date.

Some guides contain optional sponsored Klook booking links and Stay22-assisted accommodation links. These are commercial options, not editorial rankings or guarantees of current price, availability or eligibility.

The Australian slang dictionary is an English-language reference. Former community photo pages at /gallery.php, /contributors.php and /submit-photo.php are retired and return 410 Gone.
